Sua gest&atilde;o foi marcada principalmente pelo dia 30 de agosto de 1988, quando autorizou a cavalaria policial a atacar professores grevistas. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mandou um telegrama para <a href=\"https:\/\/www.projetohumanos.com.br\/wiki\/caso-evandro\/personagens\/aldo-abagge\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"Prefeito de Guaratuba em 1992\" class=\"encyclopedia\">Aldo Abagge<\/a> em 1988 quando Aldo ganhou as elei&ccedil;&otilde;es municipais.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Em 1989, nomeou o ex-prefeito de Curitiba, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.projetohumanos.com.br\/wiki\/caso-evandro\/personagens\/roberto-requiao\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"Governador do Paran&aacute; entre 1991 e 1994\" class=\"encyclopedia\">Roberto Requi&atilde;o<\/a>, como Secret&aacute;rio de Desenvolvimento Urbano do Paran&aacute; &ndash; cargo que Requi&atilde;o ocupou at&eacute; 1990, quando foi eleito Governador do Paran&aacute;.<\/p>\n<p>Tamb&eacute;m em 1989, Dias tentou ser o candidato do PMDB na elei&ccedil;&atilde;o presidencial, mas perdeu as prim&aacute;rias do partido para Ulysses Guimar&atilde;es. Ap&oacute;s este evento, Dias desfiliou-se do PMDB e entrou para o PST &ndash; partido cujo diret&oacute;rio em Guaratuba tinha <a href=\"https:\/\/www.projetohumanos.com.br\/wiki\/caso-evandro\/personagens\/celina-abagge\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"Primeira-dama de Guaratuba em 1992\" class=\"encyclopedia\">Celina Abagge<\/a> como vice-presidente.
